Testimonials:
“Ellen Ornato has presented at multiple events for the Tri-State Diversity Council in the Connecticut and New York Chapters. In every speaking session she demonstrations the utmost professionalism while displaying a passion and energy that is often times lacking in a corporate setting. Ellen’s ability to educate and provide incredibly valuable information on cultural diversity and communication, while simultaneously infusing humor into her speaking engagements is a powerful combination that resonates! The Tri-State Diversity Council continues to invite her back to speak at many of our major conferences and symposiums. She is a valuable resource to our organization!”
-Rachel Lopez, Senior Coordinator, Tri-State Diversity Council
I have worked with Ellen since 2005 in her position as lead trainer and coordinator of the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services “Diversity in the Workplace” training that is required of all of our new employees. Ellen has earned consistently superior participant evaluations from a very diverse group of participants that includes both professional health care providers as well as support staff, police personnel, building services personnel etc.
She brings both subject matter expertise as well as the ability to deliver content in an engaging and effective manner. Our diversity training at times can provoke controversy but Ellen effectively manages conflict and strong opinions of participants in a way that leaves everyone feeling both respected and comfortable. Ellen has also made significant contributions to improving the curriculum and has made it increasingly interesting, relevant and more effective for participants.
Ellen has been a joy to work with. She is flexible, unflappable and quickly finds solutions to unforeseen difficulties that occasionally come up. Her demeanor, intelligence, training skills and sense of responsibility will make her an excellent candidate for facilitating any training program.
